【Linux】 WiFi not working on Ubuntu 20.04

Posted at 11/23/2021 21:03:20      View:1902 | Replies:1        Print      Only Author   [Copy Link] 1#
I'm testing the Ubuntu 20.04 image (ROC-RK3566-PC-UBUNTU20.04-GPT-20211012-1456), and am having trouble getting the WiFi network adapter to work. It detects the device as wlan0, but I can't seem to get it connecting. I've tried setting up a wpa_supplicant.conf file, but that didn't get picked up. With nmtui, there is no wireless network. Adding it manually doesn't seem to work either. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Can you provide some logs? Like dmesg or syslog when you try to connect wifi
Make sure your device has an antenna.
Check /vendor/etc/firmware/, which file is nvram.txt link to?
For example: If your device is using AP6255(you can see it on the wifi module of your device)
then the nvram.txt should link to nvram_ap6255.txt, otherwise, wlan0 can't detect any AP

use command to connect to AP:
nmcli dev wifi connect APName password 123456
