Title: Fan connection
Hi,

I noticed in my package for Firefly-RK3399 Plus, it also has a fan with this. Does this have to be connected? I see videos and screenshots without this fan used. Would the CPU get too hot without this? What if always running at max 100% on CPU?

Also the short cables connecting this fan blocks the way for one of the mipi ports closest to the fan.

Separate, how do you connect USB to UART Module to this board?

Hi
Hi ,the rk3399 have a over-temperature protection, when the cpu is too hot,the rk3399 will run slower,
so if always running  100%, we suggest you to connect the fan,

Is there any way to have the fan only spin up when needed?  It's quite a loud fan, and it clearly isn't needed most of the time, but it seems to be running at full speed all of the time on Linux.

So there is no way to vary the speed of the fan via the on-board 3-pin controller?  Is this due to a lack of kernel support or a hardware limitation?

hardware limitation
