Hi,

For a new project, we are trying to use a RK3399 cards. We like it for the DP port in 60 fps.

We are using Ubuntu Firefly-rk3399_xubuntu1604_201705111112 image.

So, when I connect a HD screen in HDMI, no problem.
If I connect a 4k screen with USB3 to Displayport, nothing appear. OK, perhaps need reboot.
After reboot, i loose the graphic interface of Ubuntu.
But after that, impossible to come back to graphic interface. Only solution, reflash.

Do you have any idea ?
And, how to activated properly the Dpe port to have 4k display ?

Regards

This is the same issue I reported in a different thread.  If you connect a 4K monitor to USB-C, the board will not boot.  Only a 1080p will work.

1) shutdown
2) connect a 1080p display to USB-C
3) power on the board

Attaching a USB-C display while the board is running does not work.  Attaching a 4K display to USB-C does not work.  Attaching a 4K display to HDMI only works at 1080p.  In summary, at this time, there is no 4K support for this board.  Hopefully, this issue will get fixed.

OK thanks.

I have no USB C 1080 monitor so impossible to have graphic interface running after connecting a USB c 4k monitor.
If I connect a hdmi after, only CLI interface

In HMDI, I can go to 2560*1440 with a 4k.

I will wait..

Did you have to use a special HDMI cable for 2560*1440? I am getting a USB-C to HDMI adapter shortly and would like to know how this would work.
