I get the same error when i run cheese app, with my usb cam Bus 001 Device 003: ID 05a3:9320 ARC International.
Firmware Firefly-rk3399_xubuntu1604_20171102 (downloaded from baidu) and Firefly-RK3399_xubuntu1604_201711301130
