Has anyone been able to get eDP working on AIO-3399J? I am using Android 7.1 I have spent 30+ hours trying to make it work. I know my pinout is correct. I have tried different cables, the display has been tested and is good. I am using AUO B156XTK01.0 But, the only thing I see is "AUX CH command reply failed!" every time.

I followed the directions very carefully for configuring the kernel and u-boot and tried many different things, but nothing changes. I am familiar with AOSP so I am very careful and thorough when editing the software.

I know the display panel is being powered correctly as well because I am able to use the self-test pin and make the display cycle through the color test.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

So, yesterday evening I tried something interesting. I cut a DisplayPort cable in half and soldered the wires to a connector and then hooked up the AIO-3399J to a PC monitor via the eDP port. It correctly recognized the display and I saw some output. It was a little glitchy at first, (due to my awful soldering skills). But, I was able to position the wires carefully by hand until it worked flawlessly.

I am thinking about making an adapter board to go from the eDP pins to a DisplayPort connector. Would anyone be interested in this?

Next step is getting it working on my actual eDP display. I think my issue was the cables. I made them by hand, it seems that it should have at least been able to communicate via AUX. I'll keep messing with it and provide feedback.
