【Linux】 AndroidTool Doesn't Accept Ubuntu Firmware

Hello,

Whenever I try opening the file "Firefly-RK3288_xubuntu1604_20181031.img" or "Firefly-RK3288_xubuntu16.04_20180802.img" I downloaded from Google Drive via the official links in the AndroidTool either version 2.61 or 2.58, I get the message "Loading firmware failed!". Are those files broken? I tried downloading them (and others) three times now.

In the advanced tab, I can unpack them and see the separate files. Can I just use those for flashing?

If you can unpack the firmware, the firmware is alright.

What you're coming across is that "Loading firmware failed",
"loading" means transfer the firmware from the PC to the board
via the USB cable. There might be several situations to fail:
1. broken usb cable
2. broken loader in the board
3. mismatch firmware with the board

Please try to enter maskrom mode of the board, and use the Android firmware
to flash, via a short and fine USB cable.

Ah, so the reason is actually the one in the other thread I created here. Thank you!
