Ubuntu User name and login

Whilst I booted up fine and auto logged in to a shell environment. I installed the gui for ubuntu and now have a login name and password to put in. I've tried many with no luck.
Firefly; firefly
firefly; firefly
firefly; Firefly
firefly;
Firefly;
root;
root;firefly
etc...
nothing works, only options is to flash again and start over but that might lead me to the same problem |
