Good evening all,
As a small company, we acquired a Firefly RK3288 Reloaded today (yay!). When we powered the board for the first time, it booted on Android 5.1.1 and we were able to switch on Lubuntu with success.
However, we wanted to boot on SD card with Ubuntu in it. We followed the tutorial Boot Ubuntu from SD card from the wiki. The thing is, when we put the SD card in the board and then power it, it does not boot at all : even the blue isn't up.
We tried to flash the .img file from the drive using the utility tool on Windows 10 64 bits, at first it didn't work. Then we ran the tool as Windows 7 compatibility and the tool "successfully flashed" the .img, sending the success message at the end. As result, it didn't boot at all.
We then tried to flash manually the .img file using the dd command from Linux, and it didn't work too.
However, we tried to find some help on Google and we found this Google Plus topic explaining that it should work by running the tool on a 32 bits OS. We didn't try this solution yet, may be tomorrow.
Plus, it seems that the .img file is outdated from the wiki page and that there is a new .img here.
Are we missing something ? Are there others steps to follow ? Did you encounter this problem like us ?
Thank you in advance for your help !
