Can Firefly Team add ExFat filesystem support to Firefly devices?
Lots of 1080p/4K videos are over 4GB in size and then Fat32 can't be used any more.Author: isle Time: 12/29/2016 14:42
No ,We can't offer it unless your have solved the issue of copyright.Author: AussieJohn Time: 1/6/2017 14:03 https://github.com/relan/exfat
that is the open source version of exfat for linux/unix/bsd ect.
it uses the FUSE filesystem driver and has actually been around in mainstream linux distro's for quite some time so I'm not sure what copyright issues you are referring to, could you please explain?Author: isle Time: 1/7/2017 09:38 Last edited by isle In 1/7/2017 09:44 Editor
the exFAT is belong to miscrsoft, if you haven't bought the rights, you can't add it in your android devices.Author: AussieJohn Time: 1/8/2017 18:22
well perhaps it would be a good idea to add the FUSE support into the kernel so people who need different filesystem support can then install the required FUSE modules in the userspace?
