Title: Fan speed under ubuntu rk3399
Good day!
Fan spins constanly with high speed without any needs.
So maybe there is a value to adjust RPMs?

I found it frustratingly loud too.  I did some testing, and the board is perfectly working even with very heavy processing with the fan connector unplugged.  The speed of the A72 cores slows considerably, the net effect being a few tens of percent slowdown, which to me is still perfectly workable.  There is a dedicated heatsink in the store that might do better, but so far whenever I've looked it's been out of stock.  Hopefully there will be more soon.

hello isle,

Is it possible to post the information of your link also in english. Just for my understanding, the Fan turns always on max. rpm (Android and Linux) at  least on my board. Is the line where it is connected not regulated at all? I dont understand the comment hardware limitation. The SOC has temp sensors so it should be no big deal to read them and regulate the fans rpm based on a temperature profile.

Thax for helping
