Is there any possibility to compile the Linux kernel within Ubuntu on the RK3399, or must a cross-compiler be used? If so, what is the procedure? It is unclear if the versions you have on github will work on the RK3399. Thanks.Author: KD0OHR Time: 5/9/2017 06:55
The base rk3399 board might not have enough space to hold the entire sdk. Firefly hosts the sdk source on google drive/baidu. The project on github hosted under rockchip-linux is not the firefly release, but it will work if you select the proper defconfigs for the firefly rk3399 board. Please see http://wiki.t-firefly.com/index. ... 399/Build_kernel/en for the official Firefly distribution or http://opensource.rock-chips.com/wiki_Main_Page for the rockchips main page (I think this is the github project you referred to) Author: KD0OHR Time: 5/16/2017 12:34
There is a precompiled toolchain for the arm64 in at least one of the xubuntu distributions I've installed so far, can't remember which though. There should be enough empty space for the kernel source on the board if you don't have android installed.
