Connecting the HDMI port to a 4K display only supports up to 1080p resolution. The display, cable, and port used are all verified to support 4K with an Amlogic S905 based board from a different vendor.
Using the display settings GUI, only 1080p and lower resolutions are available. Has anyone got 4K to work with the Ubuntu image? If so, what is the procedure?

I should note that I am using the recent kernel compiled from source as instructed in the wiki. Author: isle Time: 7/3/2017 09:57
Oh, please don't use 4K display in ubuntu, That is very slow, The 2D graphic driver is not good enough for 4K display! Author: crashoverride Time: 7/4/2017 04:28
Whether the device is slow or not is of no concern to me. What is required for me to enable 4K UHD output? Additionally, as I noted in another thread, when a 4K device is connected to the USB-C port, the device will not boot. It locks up and displays garbage on the HDMI port.
