It is designed to assess a candidate's ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot Aruba networks in small to medium business environments.
Network Fundamentals:LAN/WAN basics, media types, unicast/multicast/broadcast, number system conversions.
Network Communications Model: OSI model, packet encapsulation, common protocols (DHCP, DNS, HTTP, SSH, FTP, ICMP), TCP handshake.
Networking Devices: Switches, routers, wireless APs, multilayer switches; basic configuration of Aruba devices.
Layer-2 Switching & VLANs: MAC/ARP tables, collision vs broadcast domains, VLAN configuration, trunking, avoiding switching loops.
Wireless / Aruba WLAN Fundamentals: Access point configuration, WLAN deployment, RF fundamentals, network architecture.
Security & Access Control: Basic ACLs, port security, authentication for wired and wireless networks.
Network Troubleshooting & Management: Monitoring, diagnosing connectivity issues, using troubleshooting tools, and applying fixes.
