I bought the B-Key SSD Adapter board from the Firefly store and mounted it into my RK3399 board. I have a 120 GB SSD from SanDIsk connected via the supplied cables. Alas, I did not find my drive under /dev after booting Xubuntu 16.04 (I am using official T-Firefly release Firefly-rk3399_xubuntu1604_201705111112). When I checked dmesg, I noticed a lot of errors related to PCIe. If there is anyone on the forum who had a similar problem and solved it, please share the solution. For any interested developers, I am attaching the dmesg capture to this thread.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

So - not sure if you got anywhere with this but the errors in the log say that the pcie bus isn't configured to be powered up in the device tree - have you grabbed a newer ubuntu image & tried again?
As far as I know the device tree is configured in the dts files at compile time
I'll be honest I'm investigating a similar problem with m.2 - different card though - I would be interested to hear if you have had any luckAuthor: enrogued Time: 6/10/2018 05:51
OK, a closer look at your logs show that the PCIE bus is actually coming up, and attempting to enable a device
you should be able to see the sata adapter with lspci - if you can't then try a newer image - there is a quite recent one
