Title: 10 bit HDMI output [Print This Page] Author: Konrad.Z Time: 1/30/2018 16:58 Title: 10 bit HDMI output I'm considering using FireFly RK3399 board to use in my project where i need HDMI output with 10 bits to run a 4K LCD module. In the datasheet or RK3399 there is a information about supporting 10 bit for 4K on HDMI, but what about software ? Is it support or I will have a problem with it ?

Thanks! I know that RK3399 chip hardware support it but what about software side ? Does linux distribution and drivers that you provide allow to use it ?
For example: I was thinking of using nvidia tegra chip for driving 30 bpp (10 bit per pixel) LCD, but I find out that their hardware allow it on every video output, but on software site there were limitation on linux and in the end you can drive only 8 bit per pixel (24 bpp).Author: leungÏÈÉ Time: 1/31/2018 17:26

Software will be updated later, I saw rk3399 newest sdk had already support 10bit from Rockchip SDK.Author: Konrad.Z Time: 1/31/2018 17:59
