I want to play different types of video files on my Fireprime. To do so, I use Android 5.1 compiled from the sources (I have followed the instructions here => http://en.t-firefly.com/doc/product/info/id/301.html) and a custom apk written with Android Studio.
Using MediaPlayer object, I am able to play 1080p@30Hz videos encoded with h264 or h265 but when I want to play a 60fps file, the video stream does not play at full rate resulting in a loss of sync between audio and video. However, the MediaPlayer does not raise the flag "MEDIA_INFO_VIDEO_TRACK_LAGGING" or any other warning message.
So my questions are : Can I play FullHD files@60fps on this board ? And if so, how ?

have you the video app of the system? the same ?Author: kiwor Time: 3/5/2018 15:30
Yes, the behavior with the pre-installed video player app is exactly the same.Author: kiwor Time: 3/21/2018 22:44
I don't know if there is a link with my issue discribed above, but I noticed that no matter the screen connected to the HDMI, the resolution of the output video stream is always 720p.
$ adb shell wm size
Copy the code
returns
Physical size: 1280x720
Copy the code
Also, on a 1080p screen, when I set /sys/class/display/HDMI/mode to "auto" it results in a small window in the upper left corner and a green background.
Is there a reason why the video is downscaled ? How can I have it to fit the display with correct resolution (based on EDID) ?Author: leungÏÈÉ Time: 3/29/2018 19:50
