Title: SPMC wrong screen resolution
[size=1.3em]I would like to use Firefly as main media player for all my content up to 4K on Samsung HU7000 series TV from QNAP NAS. Initially I had a problem with HDMI connection to my TV in 4K/60Hz mode. It works only if HDMI input renamed to PC, HDMI 2.0 cable has length not longer than 3ft and UltraHD colors enabled in Samsung TV menu.Built-in player show video correctly only from USB drive but when I try to watch anything over Gigabit Ethernet network I see "green noise" picture instead 4K Astra demo video or video without any sound for regular HD movies.
So I've installed SPMC from http://spmc.semperpax.com and now can watch almost everything over network (NFS,Samba). I have only two problems now:
- video showing not smoothly (it looks like very fast slide-show) like 10-20fps in any screen resolution. I can compare video from different HDMI sources and there no any problem with TV here.
- Full UHD resolution (3840x2160x60) works fine in Home Screen but if I run SPMC from any resolution higher than 1920x1080x60 screen automatically change resolution to 1280x720. Android still think it has original UHD resolution. SPMC always show 3840x2160x60 in system settings even if screen is 3840x2160x25 only. See screenshot...

I find a spmc that support great:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxeflG ... sp=sharing
The second problem , you need to ?close spmc completely and restart it, then you can find it change. I think this is spmc's problem.
close spmc completely, just click this button:

SPMC 13.3.4-beta1 was my first version installed on Firefly.
Now I have 13.4.0 but problem still be the same.
Quote from Changelog:
13.4.0 (2014/12/14):
- Improved Rockchip support
- overlay, hevc + true 4K on rk3288
- Auto-framerate switching for Amlogic
- (Needs 666 on /sys/class/display/mode)
- Auto-framerate switching for Rockchip
- (Needs 666 on /sys/class/display/display0.HDMI/mode)
- Allow forcing passthrough hack on Rockchip via AS ()
How can I change permissions for /sys/class/display0.HDMI/mode in Android?

/sys/class/display/display0.HDMI/mode already 666
shell@rk3288:/ # ll /sys/class/display/display0.HDMI/mode
-rw-rw-rw- root root 4096 2011-01-01 12:07 mode
if want to set other mode, you can set it in init.rc
