The
NCP‑OUSD certification validates professional expertise in developing, organizing, and optimizing 3D content workflows using
OpenUSD (Universal Scene Description). Candidates are tested on understanding the USD data model, scene composition, asset management, scripting for automation, performance optimization, and collaborative pipeline practices.
The exam evaluates both theoretical knowledge of OpenUSD and practical skills in building and maintaining USD-based pipelines for graphics or production environments.
Candidates are generally recommended to have 2–3 years of hands-on experience with OpenUSD, Python or C++ scripting, and basic rendering or real-time graphics knowledge.
