I sucessfully updated ubuntu which in the past allowed stable operation when powered via POE injector.
I did a shutdown now in Ubuntu.
I reconnected the POE board the lan cable with power for POE was connected connected to the main board.
The main board also had power from USB C.
Now main board is dead.
