Now for Station P1 users, you can build new Armbian images yourself (you can build different versions of distributions, your own version of the kernel with the addition of your kernel options, etc.) and Libreelec directly on P1 devices. Please note that to build your versions, you no longer need a PC, all operations can be performed completely on P1. Depending on the media used to run Armbian (this is the base system that runs the entire Armbian and LE build), the build time can take from a few minutes to several hours. For example, the maximum build time with downloading all components and fully building the entire system for the Armbian desktop image, when starting the system from an SD card, is ~230 minutes. If you want to try to build your own Armbian image, I will write a step-by-step guide. Author: balbes150 Time: 12/14/2020 20:52
Good news. Now you can build your own version of Armbian with any DE (XFCE KDE Mate LXDE etc) and with your own set of pre-installed programs for the user's choice. All operations are performed entirely on P1\M1. Author: balbes150 Time: 12/25/2020 14:41
This video guide shows you how to build your own version of Armbian directly on your P1 M1 (or other ARM device). You don't need a PC or other device to build it, everything is done only on the ARM P1\M1 device itself.
Thank you NocoD for creating various video instructions.
