Need to use Custom Android 10 firmware, any one of the 2 posted by me in the forum.
Go to Settings - Sound Decode & Bitstream
Select HDMI Bitstream
Open Kodi
Go to Settings - System
Enable Expert Settings at the bottom Left
Go to Audio
Scroll down and enable the
'Allow Passthrough option'
Select all the audio codecs your avr supports,
but keep 'Enable Dolby Digital(AC3) Transcoding' disabled unless you only use a tv or SPDIF that only supports AC3
You will need an AVR Receiver to play movies with DTS-HD, True-HD, Dolby Digital, DTS-HD-MA sound etc.
Amazon or a local audio shop should have them.
Make sure to also get 5.1 or 7.1 speakers if buying an AVR seperately and not as a complete package.
You connect your ROC-RK3399-PC-PLUS device with an HDMI cable to it and then another HDMI cable from the AVR to your tv.
