I'm not able to use network manger to define a wifi net. I've added myself to group netdev, but neither I nor root can enter anything like ssid for example.
I hate Ubuntu!
Hi detour_vmx . Network manager is not only restricted to Ubuntu.
Define a wifi is easy by clicking the network manager applet in the tray area and select the ssid.
Are you using the command line utility nmcli ?
