Using Android Studio to edit AOSP code

Im trying to find out if there is a proper way to import the rk3399's AOSP source code to Android Studio.
currently i ran make idegen && development/tools/idegen/idegen.sh and imported the resulting ipr file.
However this seems to be incomplete, the indexing for C files isnt working properly (go to source, find usages, ect)
