Hello,

I have an RK3399 device where I tried to switch from Android 7.1 to Ubuntu. However, when using the Linux upgrade tool, after transferring the firmware it showed the message "Download Firmware fail" and now the device is completely dead; it won't turn on and does not register as a USB device.
Anything I can do?

Okay, I managed to get the device into MASKROM mode by disconnecting power, holding reset, then connecting power. However, I still struggle to upgrade to any firmware. I tried to use the eraseIDB image, but I only get error messages such as "FlashInfo fail" in Android tool. I tried erasing the firmware as per the instructions in the Wiki by running `./upgrade_tool EF firmware`, but I get "Loading loader failed!".

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I fixed it by using the eraseIDB image via the upgrade tool. Now I can flash Firmware, but the screen stays black:
