4K Support in general

Hi there,

I browsed the board and saw few topics about 4K issues.

I need to display a 4K resolution no matter if HDMI oder DP/USB C. With both connections I did not succeed yet. With HDMI and the Android 7.1.2 image I could choose 4K resolution in the settings app, the OSD menu of the display also reports to display this resolution. But the screen still shows a FHD resolution. Also the 4K resolution is never selected in the settings app.

So I was wondering how I can display a 4K resolution. Do I need compile the android Image in a certain why? Please advice.
