Hi,

I was playing with different images and finally after I flashed FlintOS I was not able to return to Ubuntu - upgrade_tool hangs on Check Chip Start and AndriodTool in Windows gives a red Check Chip Fail (first tab shows only one green string with Loader), it can read FlashID, FlashInfo, ChipInfo and pass the TestDevice. ReadCapability also fail. Rockchip Batch Tool also does not pass Check Chip.
Then I noticed that FlintOS was flashed using wl key, that is direct write.
So I tried to do it same way with unpacked Ubuntu image according to parameter file, started from
  1. wl 0 parameter
Copy the code
followed with the rest of uboot, trust, resources, kernel and boot.
Unfortunately this didn't help and even pl key gave me Reading partition info from device failes!

I would appreciate if someone guide me how to flash Ubuntu image or simply give a full dump of clear Ubuntu system to make
  1. upgrade_tool wl 0 full_ubuntu.img
Copy the code
I have 4GB/16GB version of Firefly-RK3399

Regards

Maskrom mode didn't help:
Rockusb>uf Firefly-RK3399_xubuntu16.04_20180910.img
Loading firmware...
Support Type:RK330C        FW Ver:10.4.00        FW Time:2018-09-10 12:04:58
Loader ver:1.09        Loader Time:2018-09-10 11:27:25
Creating Comm Object failed!

and with ef key:
List of rockusb connected
DevNo=1 Vid=0x2207,Pid=0x330c,LocationID=102    Mode=Maskrom
Found 1 rockusb,Select input DevNo,Rescan press <R>,Quit press <Q>:1
Rockusb>ef

lower format passed in loader mode, but erase flash results in Wait for Maskrom Fail! both in loader and maskrom modes
tried upgrade_tool v 1.20 and  1.38
also went RockChip way with compiling and using rkdeveloptool - didn' work
used two laptops with USB2 and USB3 and two USB-C cables

UPD: decided to erase flash in Windows AndroidTool - didn't pass fully but then successfuly flashed StationOS
miracle

now revert back to Linux
thanks a lot for pushing me deeper into RockChip world

UPD2: during this manipulations I disconnected heatink with a 3pin fan just to make it less noisy further (adding 50 Omh resistor for example)
under inspection I revealed that yellow wire is simply soldered to red - looks like no tachometer Hall sensor at all in this fan, and its "supposed" line was pulled directly to FAN_12V
so according to pages 11 and 28 of Firefly-RK3399_V10_SCH_(2017-2-8).pdf pin1 of J19 - and now FAN_12V line - over Schottky diode D24 1N5819 connects to ADC_IN3 - please explain this schematics
