【General】 Linux computer cannot detect RK3399

Posted at 8/10/2018 00:18:30      View:3171 | Replies:1        Print      Only Author   [Copy Link] 1#
Device: Firefly RK3399
Computer: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Android version: 7.1.2

the command
  1. lsusb
Copy the code
does not reveal the device, and the command
  1. adb devices
Copy the code
returns an empty list of devices.

I checked the cable I am using with another Android device (Samsung phone) and it works using
  1. adb devices
Copy the code
I also tried
  1. sudo adb kill-server
Copy the code
and then
  1. adb start-server
Copy the code
but it did not work.

Also tried this: http://wiki.t-firefly.com/ROC-RK3328-CC/android_adb.html

... it resulted in adb not detecting anything (did not detect the RK3399 or the phone)

any help is appreciated
