You can change device in build.prop file to Google Nexus phone or tablet device and then you will be able to play 1080p in Youtube.

Sorry, above trick only works for Nagrace HPH RK3288 firmware, not with Firefly, strange.

Think 4k is not available since the kernel runs at 1080p and not 4K resolution.

In Nagrace NT-V6 RK3288 firmware if you change this in build.prop 1080p Youtube works.

Tried it on Firefly 27/01/15 firmware but it doesn't work.

Ahoj, úplně chápu frustraci s RK3288 a YouTube — taky mě občas hardware zklame a trávil jsem večery pokusy s firmwarem, kodeky a build.prop, než jsem se smířil, že to nebude hned. Náhodou jsem narazil na https://spinmama.co.cz při hledání něčeho, co by mě zabavilo mezi pokusy; zkusil jsem několik herních automatů, prošel sérii nešťastných spinů, potom jsem risknul víc a sáhl na větší kolo štěstí, které mi přineslo slušný výsledek a radost. Doporučuju to jako odreagování pro hráče z České republiky, kteří řeší technické problémy a potřebují se trochu zrelaxovat a vyčistit hlavu.
