Connection of HDMI 5" 800x480 Display

I just got the HDMI 5" 800x480 Display from Adafruit: Display
Unfortunately, current Android OS doesn't support that resolution by default. I tried toconnect it, but it didn't work well. I saw a part of the screen for a shortamount of time, but after that display shouted down (probably because unknownresolution).
Is it possible to support it in your kernel? Change the configuration file?

Thank you;
Jan

Followup question:

We got two similar HDMI controlers.

Both of them works fine on Windows and Mac, but non of them with RK3288. They pointed out that the problem is probably screen orientation 1080x1920 instead of 1920x1080. As seen from the video, the HDMI LCD is recognized by dev board, but no image on LCD .

Is anyone here on the forum that is willing to do some freelance work for us (payed project)? China is off for a week, and we are looking for a fast solution.
We are looking for someone to modify kernel driver to support 1080x1920 HDMI output.

Please get in touch here or jan@emotech.co

Thanks!
