I was driving around after work a few nights ago and ended up stopping at a small place near the coast because I was honestly too hungry to keep deciding. Kind of random. The burger looked simple on the menu, nothing overdone, but it turned out way better than expected. Crispy edges on the patty, soft bun, fries that actually stayed hot for more than five minutes.
People talk a lot about finding the best burger Oceanside has, but most of the time it’s either too greasy or trying too hard to be “gourmet.” This place felt normal in a good way. Busy but not chaotic. A few families there, surfers still in hoodies, somebody waiting outside with a milkshake.
I’ve noticed it’s actually harder to find good burger and fries Oceanside CA spots than people think. Fries are usually the thing that ruins it for me. Either soggy or way too salty. These were fine though. Nothing dramatic about it.
Anyway, just curious what other places people around Oceanside keep going back to lately. Some spots are good once and then somehow different the next time.
