Putting HDMI in portrait mode

Hi,

I'm trying to put the HDMI output in portrait mode. My app tries to set the orientation to portrait but it always displays in landscape. Is there anything I need to change to enable portrait mode?

This is a typical questions. I belive, the best solution is to flash the device the last version of firmware 5.1 and you get rotation as a part of the firmware. Otherwise you cannot rotate as it is blocked in kernel.
