Hi,

We are planning to interface one of our camera with Firefly "AIO_3399J" Board for one of our project. Can you please let us know about the following details regarding the AIO_3399J Board.

1) Can you please let us know regarding the Voltage terminated and Current supplying capability of the following signals terminated at the J32 Connector.
->  J32 (Pin 1)  - VCC_SYS
->  J32 (Pin 2) - DVP_PWR
->  J32 (Pin 3) - DVP_PWR

2) Please let us know the Connector Mfg Part No used at J32 of AIO_3399J Board.

3) If there are any FFC Cables tested with AIO_3399J Board. If so please share the Mfg Part no & Mfg of the FFC cable used.

4) Please let us know about the following details for the GPIO signals terminated at the J32 of AIO_3399J Board.
-> Input Voltage High threshold
-> Input Voltage Low threshold
->  Minimum Output Voltage (for high state)
-> Maximum Output Votlage (for low state)

Thanks,
Arvind

1.

->  J32 (Pin 1)  - VCC_SYS        ---  5V, 1A
->  J32 (Pin 2) - CIF_PWR_EN  --- (GPIO1_C6) 3V
->  J32 (Pin 3) - DVP_PWR_EN --- (GPIO1_C7) 3V
->  J32 (Pin 6) - MIPI_RESET    --- (GPIO0_B0)  1.8V

2.  The J32 socket is 24 PIN, 0.5mm interval, 1.5mm height, flip and low attached. It has no specific Mfg Part no.

3. FFC has also no Mfg Part #, just 24pin, 0.5mm interval FFC.
4. 1.8V standard IO voltage.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

As mentioned above we are planning to interface our custom camera with Firefly "AIO_3399J" Board. Our custom camera board will consume upto 460mA at 5V(Theoretical Maximum).
So, Please check and confirm if we can draw 460mA from Pin1 of J32 (VCC_SYS).

Note: we are not sure if 460mA current can be passed through a single pin of J32 connector.

Thanks,
Arvind

It is estimated that maximum 5V@300mA can be drawn from Pin1 of J32.

In your situation,  it is best to draw current from VCC pins in the extension slot (each provides 500mA).

And it is recommended to keep the FFC cable under 15cm long.

Hi,

It will be better if we can draw the power required for our custom camera board from the J32 itself. Can we use CIF_PWR(3V) & DVP_PWR(3V) present at Pin 2 and Pin 3 of J32 respectively as a power source for our camera board? If so, please let us know the current sourcing capability of the CIF_PWR & DVP_PWR.

Also please let us know about the following points regarding the J42 extension slot.
i) Please share the Mfg Part No of the mating connector that is to be used with the J42
ii) Is there any ready-made cable available for the connection with J42, If so please share the Mfg Part No of the cable.

Thanks,
Arvind

Pin 2 and Pin 3 of J32 are just connected to GPIOs which serve as switching of CIF_PWR & DVP_PWR.
They're not power sources.

There's also no Mfg Part No of the mating connector that is to be used with the J42.

Any 2.0mm interval 4 pin connector will be fine.
