Problem reinstalling Android firmware

I replaced the default android firmware with ubuntu using the SD card upgrade tool and now I want to reinstall the android firmware. I downloaded the android 12 firmware on the firefly website and successfully flashed it to a SD card using the official software but it won't install on the board. When I plug the SD card into the board, nothing happens. I also tried installing it via the USB method but that caused my board to stop responding and required me to put the board into MaskRom mode and flash Ubuntu back onto it. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.
Here is the software I've tried.
Firmware: ROC-RK3588S-PC_Android12_HDMI_220428
SDDiskTool v1.69 and 1.7
DriverAssistant v5.1.1
RKDevTool v2.84 and 2.96
