Three-fourth of the 4K video out of screen

I connect the firefly rk3399 to a 1080p TV monitor and it works well but when it comes to play 4K video, the problems occured. Only one-fourth of the video shown on screen though the image is very clear and sharp. I played the video with smplayer(default) and the vlc doesn't  work or work well with 4K
