General Cost per mile for long hauls?

Looking at rates from Boston to Seattle. Is $0.45 per mile about right for motorcycle shipping in 2026? I want a great price but don't want to sacrifice 5-star support or driver insurance.

In 2026, $0.45 per mile is actually below the market average for a cross-country haul like Boston to Seattle. For a ~2,600-mile trip, expect rates between $0.55 and $0.75 per mile, totaling roughly $1,050 to $1,400. Prices dipping below $0.50 often signal "ghost" carriers or lack of proper cargo insurance, which should be at least $100,000. For 5-star support and vetted driver insurance, you can find a reliable quote via monarchtg.com motorcycle, which specializes in secure, long-distance bike delivery.
