Yes i tested, but this is version 8!
That is new version with many modifications Debian 9 with x11 working. You can compile it for us?

hi all,

good news! just today got my ffplay-variant running on rockchips debian9 with rockchips 4.4 vpu kernel on miqi device, using vpu and gpu. plays pretty well including audio. will now try to get it running on firefly. stay tuned!

im also very interested in this. I'm no linux expert but does that mean the following process will get it running of the firefly rk3288:

1. build kernel 4.4 using the  firefly dts that is (apparently??) mainlined
2. download rootfs from rock chip https://drive.google.com/drive/u ... ohwXdGRVYTAwdlJDOUU
3. download debian stretch system from somewhere
4. use rktools or androidtool etc to flash all partitions and maybe latest uboot etc

mac-l1 I'm wondering if you have some insight on this as I'm sure I've got the procure completely wrong but maybe not

edit:
i noticed the debian have an installer image for debain stretch on arm boards with the firefly rk3288 amoung the supported ones
