【Hardware】 Stuck in Maskrom

Posted at 12/25/2020 21:24:25      View:6947 | Replies:12        Print      Only Author   [Copy Link] 1#
My firefly rk3399 is now stuck in maskrom
the linux upgrade tool fail either at reset device or at prepare idb

I even tried rkdeveloptool and it seems to work
when it wrote idbloader, uboot and trust.bin
but when I restarted the board it was back in maskrom

also some times I can't the emmc info even after erasing it

is there a way that I can boot from sd card all the time?

If you shorten emmc (be careful, i've occasionally killed my one) you can boot from sdcard and erase all data from emmc. In fact, you only have to erase u-boot area, then board will always boot from sdcard

Which image and how do you flash on sdcard? It must contain working u-boot. Btw, do you use UART for debugging?
