Ubuntu Graphics Acceleration

Hi,

I am running Firefly-rk3288_Ubuntu_1604_ 2016_1018 and I found that the graphics is very slow. When I run the browser, scrolling is noticeably lagging. When I run glxgears, the FPS is about 72-82 FPS.

Can I know if GPU acceleration is working under Ubuntu for 3288?

Hi,
Does it mean that Ubuntu support for graphics is still very poor? And I should use Debian?

That is really sad to hear. From the website, it seems that the "powerful GPU". I guess the "hardware" is powerful, but honestly, what is the point of a super powerful hardware without supporting software / OS? I will try out Debian... if that still doesn't work, I might have to return it.

Thanks for the advice. I do need good 2D graphics as I using it for digital signage. Do you have any recommendations for similar hardware?

Thanks. May I know if the Odroid performs better with 2D graphics than the Firefly board? From the video, looks like it doesn't have any problem doing hardware decoding of videos.
