I found it frustratingly loud too. I did some testing, and the board is perfectly working even with very heavy processing with the fan connector unplugged. The speed of the A72 cores slows considerably, the net effect being a few tens of percent slowdown, which to me is still perfectly workable. There is a dedicated heatsink in the store that might do better, but so far whenever I've looked it's been out of stock. Hopefully there will be more soon. |
