In Lubuntu left side of screen and bottom taskbar is cut of from my screen.Very difficult to nav ...

You can try using this program for screen scaling:

1. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:zone-xom/ugoos-scaler
   
2. sudo apt-get update
   
3. sudo apt-get  install uscaler
