Display selection Automatic or Manual?

So I haven't gotten the device yet, but my main interest in it is overclocking and optimizing performance as I want to use it as a micro console. My question is does the board automatically detect the connected display in android or will I have to manually change it to VGA if it defaults to HDMI? |
