Hi, is there a way to install Arch Linux ARM on Firefly RK3399? I've searched the forums but could not find anything on that matter but for RK3388.

No it did not. I also tried the old Arch Linux guide based on RK3388 but it's the same game.. meaning it's not working at all.

Arch linux can be booted with kernels 5.3 and 5.4. For SD boot you need to create usual rootfs, but you need to change firefly dtb before you can boot: this patch allows you not to stuck at boot, also you will need to set
  1. status="okay"
Copy the code
in hdmi_sound node if you want to have sound. Finally, to make boot process faster than 2 minutes, see Manjaro kernel patch for rk3399
If you want to see boot log via serial console, add following to your kernel command line:
  1. console=ttyS2,1500000n8 earlycon=uart8250,mmio32,0xff1a0000
Copy the code
(there is no ttyFIQ0 in mainline kernel)
