RK3399: Ubuntu Display Limited to 1024x768 only When connected to 1080P monitor

I have received my RK3399 board yesterday.  I connected the HDMI output to a TV.  In android system the display looks fine.

However when I switched to Ubuntu OS, I’m only able to select 4 resolution with the highest one is 1024x768.  How could I enable the support for 1080P?

Thanks @isle, I have make it work now.  It is is related to old firmware.  Some how connect to LCD monitor is ok.
