Problem description and steps to reproduce:
I have tried both official ubuntu and openwrt, and none of them show mobile internet device. Installed modem manager on ubuntu, it does not find the internet device.
Is device faulty?

BUILDROOT
I got back to the problem, flashed original IHC3308GW-Buildroot-20211221.img. The device seems to connect to the internet (ping is unreliable for some reason).
But the biggest problem is if I simulate sim card failure removing the sim card from the connector and then putting it back the system does not reconnect. I also can not find any commands to restore connectivity manually. Restart of S40 network ends up with FAIL without any change.
Please help. How to make system automatically reconnecting when cellular connectivity is lost of sim card is replaced.
